The 2 in 1 sensation to burn even more fat & calories Double Effect Caps by Multipower
Nov 16th
Double Effect Caps activate the fat metabolism during the workout and increase the burning of fat and calories without the need to intensify the training. Doing this even with a double effect: with only one capsule of Double Effect Caps you can have the effect of 2 capsules.
The intelligent 2-in1-system drags the ingredients to the ideal place of action:
Phase 1:
Fast release of the vital fatty acid CLA in fluid form in the stomach.
Phase 2:
Time released of the other active ingredients ( as for example Grean Tea-, Curcuma- and Grapefruit Extract) from the inner capsule. The Capsicum Extract instead is only released later for optimal effect: it activates the fat metabolism like 1g of dried red chili! And this without the burning taste or pyrosis!

Don’t just judge without looking inside!
Mar 12th
Don’t just judge without taking a look inside at The Old Ironworks Gym, Maldon it’s more than just Weight Lifting, Body Building and Boxing. Just the other day I was reading a short article in the local Essex Golfer Magazine about how one of my fellow gym members had improved his golf through exercise and it made me think about how all sports training techniques can benefit each other and that we must never stereo type places and say that The Old Ironworks gym is just for bodybuilders etc.
The article I read was on the lines: Fit for the Fairway reported by Jamie Head, Wanting to improve fitness, lose weight and get physically stronger for golf, I embarked on a 8 month stint at my local gym. I was very disappointed as I did not lose hardly any weight and my body had not changed to a better shape in that time period.
After some thought I decided to get the help of a Fitness Coach. I was recommended to Matthew Fuhr and I have been attending sessions at The Old Iron Works Gym in Maldon twice a week for the past two months.
In that time I have lost 18lbs in weight, several inches of body fat and I feel much fitter and stronger than I ever have. Matt really mixes up training sessions with weights, cardio, boxing and skipping etc. He also worked out a diet plan for me so I know what I can and can’t eat.
My golf has improved tremendously and I feel more flexible whilst playing, which can only help to avoid injury in the long run.
As I am personally thinking about starting to playing golf after reading the article I decided to find out a bit more about Golf Fitness and Personal Training etc, and this is what I found out. Nick Faldo won five times on the European Tour in 1983. He led the tour in money and scoring. He’d won 12 times total in Europe. But then he decided that wasn’t good enough. He wanted to win Majors, so he set to work building a better swing, along with a new swing Faldo emerged as one of the first golfers to have bulging biceps and a fitness coach.
His playing record: 6 Major Championships, 9 US Tour Wins and 30 European Tour Event wins, and still today our greatest English golfer ever.
However in recent times this guy called Tiger Woods came along and has been instrumental in taking what Faldo instigated to a far higher level with the use of more weightlifting and cardio work along with the correct diet to make him such a top sports person.
Power, Strength and Flexibility all rolled into one a true athlete Woods has become. Gone are the days of so called pot belly golfers on tour, now they all have to work out and monitor their diets, as fitness is very much part of all top level sports, even Phil the power Taylor 15 times World Darts champion works out.

John Fisher Old Ironworks Gym Maldon Essex With His Bodybuilding Tips
Mar 7th
Bodybuilding Tips
- Only train one body part once a week. Chest Back Shoulders & Legs you should do minimum 25 sets Maximum 30. Biceps 20 sets Triceps 20 sets Calf’s 15 sets. Forearms 10 sets Abs 15 sets twice a week, or 5 sets every day.
- Have a large tub of cottage cheese before bed its is the slowest releasing protein there is .
- Try this, when you do Barbell Bench press take the barbell down to your collar bone you cant go as heavy but you will get much better chest development plus grip the bar just past your shoulder width.
- Always do dips and pullovers in your chest workouts! Dips may take you a few months to get 12 reps. Don’t give up! Also do full stretch dips not half way down ones. You are better doing 2 or 3 full dips than 10 or 12 half ones.
- Don’t be afraid to cheat a bit on your exercises it’s the only way you get to lift heavier weights to build bigger muscles.
